PREVIEW: Friday 16th November 2012, 11am to 6pm
OPENING: Friday 16th November 2012 from 7pm
"nofound photo fair is designed to be a universal exhibition space. Exhibitors are chosen on a project-by-project basis. They must detail what they intend to do on their application to appear in the fair - an installation, a themed exhibition, a solo show etc., along with a list of artists. After the exhibitors have been chosen, we work with them on the practical aspects of displaying their project within the space available to them. We also take care of the construction of their booth, which will be made-to-measure. " Emeric Glayse

nofound photo fair 2011, extremely encouraging results!
In total 34 private galleries and public organizations, 11 editors and 2 private collectors took the challenge proposed by the art directors to highlight the link between photography and contemporary art and to create a dialogue between emerging artists.
Thirteen of the projects were by foreigners: Germany, Argentina, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Canada, United States of America, Italy, Norway, Holland, United Kingdom and Sweden.
Over four days, nofound photo fair attracted roughly 10 000 visitors including 2 500 the evening of the private view.
Extremely encouraging results: sales and institutional acquisitions (from 250 to 15 000), contacts, commitments for future productions of artistic works and exhibition and book projects.
"This fair offers an insight into photographic practices rarely found in conventional circuits. This is a reactive platform which creates a good place to broadcast modes outside the conventional market, such as print editions and internet publication" in Artnet, 15th November 2011, by Joel Riff
"nofound photo fair, sharp" in Telerama Sortir, 9th to 15th November
"To summarise [...] a promising photo fair" in Lunettes Rouges (Le Monde), 14th November 2011
"nofound photo fair [...] widens the angle with forty or so 'out of the ordinary' projects" in Le Quotidien de l'Art, 10th November 2011, by Alexandre Crochet
"nofound photo fair which, according to a [...] survey among the specialists, appears in a very favorable light" in Liberation, 10th November 2011
Focus: nofound photo fair, an exchange place!
The partnership with the British organization Photo-Festivals to create the nofound photo reviews - portfolio reviews, sponsored by Daylight - and the nofound photo talks - a series of public conferences, co-organized with Institute (USA) - was a big success : more than 50 photographers and artists from all over Europe were able to meet 28 international experts of contemporary photography.
Also, the participation of Galerjia Duplex/10m2 from Sarajevo, with the help of Reporters without Borders, and the successful spin-offs from the fair (exhibition projects planned for 2012) clearly show the advantage of such collaborations.

Thanks!
nofound photo fair team and its partners would like to thank all the visitors and exhibitors which put their trust in this first edition.
About nofound photo fair
The vocation of nofound photo fair, the contemporary photography fair in Paris, is to bring together all those involved in the creation of the photographic image by means of a selection of unique and original creative projects.
Photography in contemporary artistic practices
Contemporary art galleries are teeming with artists who work through the medium of photography: mixed media artists, sculptors, performance artists, etc. Created in 2011, the nofound photo fair's aim is to shed light on the links between photography and contemporary art. Conceived as a universal exhibition space, the fair chooses its exhibitors from amongst the projects that have been submitted. The fair takes up residence in the Garage Turenne, a unique venue in the heart of the Marais district, with 1.400 m2 of glass-roofed display space that imposes few practical constraints, offering exhibitors tremendous freedom in the work they can exhibit and the way in which it can be displayed.
Latest developments on the photographic scene
Over the last few years we have seen the development of a new photographic scene of a particularly dynamic kind, a scene that has grown out of and continues to build itself around the possibilities opened up by the Internet. This scene is made up of gallery owners, contemporary art curators, publishers, bookshops, art directors, agency art buyers, etc. An international community that can participate wherever they live, thanks to the phenomenon of social networking and websites like nofound (the blog!). nofound photo fair provides an opportunity to bring the whole range of players on the photographic scene together in one place once a year in Paris, during the Semaine de la Photographie. A forum for debate and artistic collaboration, nofound photo fair offers a glimpse of the latest developments on the photographic scene both for the benefit of those and in partnership with those who live and create art on a day-to-day basis.
